Nipple Correction Surgery

Nipple correction surgery is an effective treatment for women who have inverted nipples.

Having inverted nipples can reduce some women’s confidence and leave them insecure about the appearance of their breasts. Nipple correction surgery is a safe and effective procedure to restore your nipples to their correct position. Usually, inverted nipples have been this way since puberty, but if you find your nipples have become inverted recently, you should see your GP in the first instance.

FAQ

How does nipple correction surgery work?

During nipple correction surgery, Mr El Gammal will cut underneath your nipple, freeing it from the surrounding tissue. A stitch is applied to keep your nipple in an outward position. This will need to stay in place for about one week to ensure your nipple remains in place permanently.

How long does it take and will I feel pain?

Surgery can take between 30-45 minutes and Mr El Gammal will discuss the likely surgery time with you during your consultations. The procedure can be performed under local or general anaesthetic. You won’t feel any pain during the procedure, but you can expect some bruising and soreness following your treatment. You will be given pain medication prior to being discharged

How long do I need to stay in hospital for?

This is a fairly straight-forward procedure so you will be able to go home the same day of surgery

How much does it cost?

This will vary depending on which hospital you choose to have your surgery, but is usually around £2500. Mr El Gammal works closely with the hospital payment teams and will ensure you have all options made available to you including monthly payment options.
