How does breast uplift work?

During breast uplift surgery, Mr El Gammal removes excess skin and reshapes your breasts. There are a few different methods depending on your individual breasts and Mr El Gammal will discuss this with you during your consultations.

How long does it take and will I feel pain?

Breast uplift usually takes around 90-120 minutes. You’ll be under general anaesthetic for the procedure so you won’t feel any pain. You’ll also receive local anaesthetic injections to help reduce pain after you wake up. There may be some discomfort and bruising for a few days following your procedure, but you should be able to return to work and normal daily activities within a week to two weeks. You will be required to wear a supporting bra for few weeks.

How long do I need to stay in hospital for?

Most patients usually require no overnight stay and you will be able to go home on the same day of your surgery. Mr El Gammal will discuss this with you during your consultations

How much does it cost?

This will vary depending on which hospital you choose to have your surgery, but is usually around £5000. Mr El Gammal works closely with the hospital payment teams and will ensure you have all options made available to you including monthly payment options.
